Edit: So Zippy reached out and sent a new set of inlays that were a little bigger! I've talked to him quite a bit in the past and he's just a great dude with awesome customer service. The new handle inlays are notably more secure than my old ones, I can tell they won't fall out on drops but only time will tell(I'll update this if they end up falling out but if there's no update just assume everything's great). PSA for the future, when taking out the handle inserts, take a paper clip and push from the inside, don't push them in from the outside- I'm not sure if that was it, but it could've been why my old ones were less secure(in the beginning I took them out and put them back in a lot). I've reviewed a lot of Zippy's products and it sounds like I'm a mindless shill, but these are my full personal opinions and I try to go into each 'review' with an open mind. :)
TLDR The new inlays are very secure and I doubt they'll fall out on drops, and Zippy is just awesome- but other than those two unsurprising updates, all of my previous thoughts remain the same about these. :) Oh yeah I switched the rating from 4 to 5
OG: One of the only reviews I've done for zippy that isn't 5/5, and even then I'd still say it's far from deal-breaking. With them in(and especially with the blade inserts), it's an amazing deep, hollow, solid sound. For that alone is it worth. The feel is great, they're very smooth. It's up to personal preference whether you prefer the feel with or without, because while the smoothness does provide grip, it also fills in the holes. My main problem is that they're not as secure as Zippy's other mods. They stay in 9 times out of 10 when dropped on most floors, but on extremely hard surfaces like polished tile or concrete, they fall out almost every time[insert lego breaking sound effect]. Lucky for me, I don't beat my Ultralight, and I don't bring it out to flip over concrete much anyways. This problem may or may not be specific to the Ultralight, I'm not sure if the Slight's titanium might be a little better holding. And while it's extremely easy to install, the nature of handle inserts like these is that there's not a great way to secure them short of making them a little thicker(than the hole), which would be a welcome change. However, my reasons for getting them are sound and color. For those purposes it checks every single box. I got translucent purple to match my red handles and translucent red blade inserts. and I LOVE the color, like all of Zippy's options.
All in all, I would recommend them to *most* people. If you're looking for an amazing sound, personalized colors, and sleek grip, this is for you. But as of right now, if you plan on beating your ultralight, unfortunately I'd hold up on getting the inlays. Without them, it may be a little grippier if you're beating ur bali, and you wouldn't want to lose your inserts.
Tldr if you plan on hard beating ur bali I wouldn't recommend but in any other case(even light beating probably), they're definitely worth it.
Imo the UL flips best with all inserts. Solid af flipper thanks to these mods.
Perfect fit and I love how it looks on my Ultralight
My ultralight was red and teal and I wanted to make mine look like a Nintendo switch so I got gray, but it was lighter than expected so I should have gotten black.the gray matches the blade color perfectly though.
The inserts make the handles feel smooth and comfortable but don't compromise grip. Because of the cutout shapes, it's possible to push the inserts all the way through or have uneven depth but it's pretty easy to fix. The sound became way bouncier and rang much nicer. I wish I had blade inserts to balance out the handle bias though!
I got trans pink to contrast my lime green Ultralight, and its a major improvement. The sound and the feel of the knife are made better and it looks v cute if I do say so myself. Its a joy to feel like I personalized my own bali. Tysm Zippy :D

Zippy ships international, but the buyer accepts the risk for lost, damaged, or seized packages-it is the customer's responsibility to comply with all local laws and regulations when importing and using this product. It is the customer's responsibilities to be aware of all import requirements when ordering, including but not limited to paying customs/import/duty fees. All international customers: it is your responsibility to looking up your country's customs requirements when you order to ensure you are in compliance, and interface with your country's customs and pay all associated fees if necessary.
For EU customers, be advised that customs will apply a VAT fee of approximately 30€ for importing products that exceed 100€. This is subject to change depending on up-to-date EU regulations; it is the customer's responsibility to verify this at the time of your purchase.

My package hasn't arrived, or my package is lost; what should I do?
Noooooo! Don't panic yet. So far I've never actually had a package get lost in the mail, although delays with USPS aren't unheard of, especially if the shipping is international. If you're a US-customer and your package is lost in the mail, appears lost in the mail, or was marked delivered but wasn't actually delivered, call the USPS immediately (1-800-275-8777)**. The faster they get on the case, the more likely you'll reach a timely resolution and get your Zippy ASAP. You can email me about it, but once I ship it out, I don't have access to any additional information that you don't--I'm just going to refer you to call the shipping carrier for resolution.
If you are an international customer and your package hasn't arrived yet, contact your local postal service that interfaces with USPS to evaluate the situation--worst case scenario you may need to reach out to customs to see if your package made it through or was seized. It is the customer's responsibility to comply with all local laws and regulations when importing my products.
Hopefully your package is just delayed (this has always been the case historically when a package appears lost), but if it is actually lost in the mail, I'm very sorry. Believe it or not, it's just as heartbreaking for me as it is for you, since I make every balisong myself and put a lot of love into each one. Unfortunately, I am unable to take responsibility for packages that get lost in the mail (or seized by customs). I offer a variety of shipping options which have different levels of pricing and reliability/risk, and it's up to you to choose what is best for you. I am unable to replace lost packages for free, since each product takes me a considerable amount of time and financial investment to make; I'm not a big Amazon company that manufactures their stuff overseas. If part of the Zippy breaks within 1 year of purchase and it affects functionality, I will replace it for free. Contact me at zippybalisong@gmail.com
In order to qualify for this policy, the issue must affect the function of the balisong. Normal wear and tear (including scratches and dings caused by repeated impact) is not covered by this warranty unless it affects the functionality of the balisong or I determine it to be the result of a manufacturing defect. In order to reduce cost for the customer, the Diode is not covered under the Zippy Warranty.
Worn M2 x 0.4mm nylock nuts are consumables and should be replaced from time to time if you disassemble frequently--these are not covered by the warranty.
Returns & Order Cancellation
I do not accept returns or refunds. All orders are final. Packages that are delayed or lost in the mail are not my responsibility. Many of my products are made-to-order and by the time you contact me to cancel, I may have already begun working on your parts. I am a one-man operation and returns are far too time consuming and costly to deal with. I appreciate you supporting my small business.
