Atropos BRO Spacers
Customize the balance of your Atropos and protect the handles.
- Extends handle length from 5.5" to 5.7".
- Protect your handles with extensions: These spacers are made from a shatter-proof polyurethane which absorbs the shock of drops, so your Atropos balisong doesn't have to.
- Adjustable balance: Each spacer houses up to 5x removable Tungsten weights, which enables you to find the perfect balance to suit your preference. The weights can be popped out with a pointy rigid object. The weights can be popped in with the tip of a clicky pen.
- Add positive jimping for extra grip on ladders and chokers.
- Each spacer weighs 0.071 oz, or up to 0.178 oz with 5x tungsten weights installed. For comparison, a stock Atropos BRO (latched) spacer weighs 0.124 oz.
- An Atropos Kirat 2 BRO weighs 4.786 oz with Zippy spacers (empty), and up to 5.000 oz with all weights installed. For comparison, a stock Atropos Kirat 2 weighs 4.892 oz.
Product Description
These Atropos BRO 2 spacers are made in-house from a rubbery, shatter-proof polyurethane. They extend and protect the handles of the Atropos balisong, and enable adjustable balance with up to 5x removable tungsten weights per spacer. The adjustable weights allow you to adapt your Atropos BRO to suit your specific balance preference, no matter what blade you are using.
Features
Disclaimer
These spacers were designed specifically for the "Bro 2" latched models (Atropos' smaller models with G10 scales and Ti liners) and have not been tested with the large-sized BRO models or latchless models. Some elements of Atropos products are hand-ground: Due to the resulting variation in Atropos fit/finish (particularly radii and chamfers for scale rounding), the cosmetic fit of these spacers may vary for your balisong. Note that imperfect cosmetic alignment to your Atropos balisong is not refundable or covered by warranty.
Assembly Instructions
Remove the stock spacers and pins and insert the Zippy spacers. Use the stock spacer as a guide to the thickness by wedging it in the channel below the Zippy spacer and tightening the handles until they press upon the stock spacer; then remove the stock spacer from the channel. Tighten the body screws till there is a medium resistance and the handle liners are parallel. Do not overtighten the body screws— this can overcompress the spacer and narrow the channel. If you have calipers you can measure the width at the pivot and simply tighten/loosen the spacer screws till the channel width at the spacer matches the channel width at the pivots (~4.75mm).
